What is a Virtual Prepaid Rewards Card?
A Virtual Prepaid Rewards Card is a 16-digit card account that can be used digitally for electronic shopping. You can start shopping online, over the phone, or add the card to your favorite retailer or fast food mobile app, wherever debit is accepted.
When does the Virtual Prepaid Rewards Card expire?
Awardco will send you a link to activate the card. The link will expire in four months. After the card has been activated, the card will expire in six months.
Can I change from a Virtual Prepaid Rewards card to a Physical Prepaid Rewards Card?
Yes. If you have never used your Virtual Prepaid Rewards Card, you can contact the card vendor's Customer Service directly and request they convert the card to a physical Prepaid Rewards Card that will be mailed to you. There is a $3-5 processing fee for this conversion. Standard delivery to receive your Physical Prepaid Rewards Card is 5-7 business days but may take up to three weeks. It will be shipped in a plain white envelope.

How are fees and exchange rates assessed?
The currency conversion fee only applies to cards issued in USD and is set at 2% per transaction. This fee is applied to every transaction that happens outside of the US. The currency exchange happens in real-time at the time of purchase when the transaction is settled by a particular merchant. There are no currency conversion fees applied to CAD, EUR or GBP cards as such cards can only be used at places/merchants that accept and settle transactions in these particular currencies. The actual currency conversion is handled by Visa or Mastercard (depending on the card type). They convert the funds at the time of purchase and, because the conversion is done in real-time, they use the current day's exchange rate.
For example, if I were to use my USD card today in London to make a GBP 5.00 purchase, $6.49 would be deducted from the card for the actual purchase at a Visa/Mastercard determined sample rate of GPB 1.00 = USD 0.77. A 2% currency conversion fee of $0.13 would also be deducted from the card balance. In total a GBP 5.00 purchase would cost the user $6.62 USD.
