As a manager, you naturally need broader insight into your team members. This article will guide you through the additional features of the Awardco platform designed specifically for managers and executives.
For information on core platform functionalities that all users experience—including logging in, recognizing colleagues, and redeeming points—please refer to our Getting Started: For Employees article article. Managers will benefit from reviewing both articles to quickly become proficient with the platform.
Note: This guide is intended for managers using the Awardco Recognition platform.
Access the Admin Panel
To access this panel, follow these steps:
- Navigate to your company recognition page, usually "yourcompany.awardco.com"
- Use your credentials to sign in, either sent in email or through SSO
- On the homepage, select the “Admin” button at the bottom of the left navigation menu.
View Dashboards
The first page you will be brought to on the Admin panel is the Dashboard, under the insights tab. This page gives you some quick information about your team or about the entire organization. The dashboard view most likely will vary based on your role (see Role-Based Dashboards support article).
View and Edit Users
Depending how your platform is configured, you may also be able to view and edit users in your hierarchy. If you, as a manager, are granted this availability, click the “Users” tab in the left navigation menu in the admin portal, then select “User Management” in the menu.
To view and/or edit a user’s account information, you can simply click on the user’s name and make any desired edits. *However, it is important to note that any changes made to their information here will likely be overwritten the next time your company sends a new version of your user file. Therefore, we generally discourage you from making changes here, and suggest that you make any updates on your HRIS system itself.
You can also archive or restore users on this tab, although we also generally discourage this, as future user file transfers may overwrite any changes you make, and therefore the user file should be treated as the main source of truth for your user database.
View Queues
If your organization uses MemoryBooks, go to Recognition > Queues in the admin portal's left navigation menu. Here, you can manage all pending and completed books for your team.
Here, you will be able to see the upcoming anniversary awards for your direct reports, the number of people who have been invited to submit a comment, the number of people who have submitted a comment, and (when expanded) what was said in the teammate comment. If needed, you have the ability to resend the email invitation should the user lose or delete the original invitation email.
View Reports
To access data for your team or organization, navigate to Insights > Reports in the left navigation menu.
See our “Platform Reports Overview” article for detailed information and help on utilizing these reports.
Manage Budgets
In rare cases, you may also be able to edit budget settings and balances. If your company has designated you as an “Owner/Manager” of one or more budgets, view this by clicking “Finance” in the left navigation menu and then “Budgets”. You can learn more about managing budgets here.
