This article will detail each section of My Profile settings. Because your organization might have only some of these settings available, you might not be able to alter all the options listed below.
About Tab
On your recognition platform’s homepage, click the user widget with your profile picture to access your user profile.
Alternatively, you can click on your profile picture in the top right corner of the page. This will open a menu, and you can select ‘My Profile’ from the options.
Once you select your profile, you'll be brought to a page that allows you to edit the following:
- Add or Change a Profile Picture
- Recognition Visibility:
- Your preference will set the default visibility when others are recognizing you in the platform. These preferences are:
- No Preference: Let senders decide if it's public or private.
- Public: I'd like my recognitions to show on the company feed.
- Private: I'd prefer my recognitions stay off the main feed (but senders can still make them public).
- Your preference will set the default visibility when others are recognizing you in the platform. These preferences are:
- Personal Info
- Preferred First Name
- The name displayed on all places in the platform and email communication.
- Preferred Pronouns

- Last Name
-
Birth Date
- Will only show if your organization recognizes employees for birthdays; toggle to private to have no birthday recognitions or notifications.
- Preferred First Name

- Managed by Platform Administrator.
- Hire Date

If your organization recognizes service anniversaries and birthdays, your hire date and birth date will show, but are not editable. Get in touch with your HR department if you find that either of these dates is incorrect.
Click Save after making any adjustments.
To get a view of your public profile and ensure that the information you’d like private is indeed private, click “Preview Profile” in the upper right-hand corner of your profile. When clicked, you enter the preview and get a glimpse of what others see. Click “Exit Preview” when finished.
Recognitions Tab
The Recognitions tab is a filtered feed focused entirely on you.
What it does:
-
Shows only recognitions you’ve sent or received, in one place, using the same card style and interactions as the main recognition feed.
-
Honors privacy rules: recognitions delivered privately do not appear to other viewers on your profile, even if they appear in your own view.
-
Lets you continue to react and comment on posts directly from your profile, just like in the global feed.
Optional Enhancements:
-
If your admin enables it, a Download Recognitions control appears here so you can export a CSV of recognitions you’ve given or received for your own records or reporting.
- Achievement badges (Program and Platform badges) can also surface alongside recognitions and on the profile header, highlighting milestones such as “First Recognition Sent” or total recognitions sent tiers.
- If MemoryBooks are available at your organization, and you've received a Memorybook (digital collections of well wishes), they'll be showcased here. When viewing your own profile, you'll see all the Memorybooks you've received. However, if a Memorybook was delivered privately, your peers won't be able to see it on their view of your profile.
Connections Tab
The Connections tab focuses on relationships and key people in your network.
Typical elements:
- Org / key connections view
-
Surfaces important relationships such as close teammates or other key connections, depending on how your organization configures profile data and metadata.
-
- My Circle widget (if enabled)
-
A compact view of people you’ve added to My Circle – the coworkers you most want to keep up with and recognize.
-
Designed as a behavioral nudge: from this widget you can quickly start a recognition or open someone’s full profile, so it’s easy to act on upcoming milestones or recent achievements.
-
- Milestones from your connections (if enabled)
-
Companies often pair My Circle with a connections/milestones widget to highlight events (like upcoming anniversaries or birthdays) for people in your circle, giving you a focused way to recognize them.
-
Cross‑navigation patterns:
-
Anywhere you see a name (recognition feed, Connections tab, My Circle, search results), hovering can show a Profile Popover: a quick overlay with basic info and a link to View Profile, so users can jump into the full profile when needed.
Settings Tab
The Settings tab is where each user controls how your platform behaves for you, within the boundaries your company has configured.
-
Account Information
- Username
- Password
-
Preferences
- Language
- Languages powered by Awardco Intelligence will translate all general platform text into the user’s selected language. The AI ingests general platform text (e.g. feature descriptions, platform notifications, etc.), to ensure a complete and contextual translation.
- Privacy
- Receive only private recognitions
- Private Recognitions (toggle to private to have all future recognitions not post to the public social feed)
- Exclusion from birthday celebrations
- When on, you will not receive MemoryBooks celebrations created by your company. If the MemoryBook celebration includes any monetary value, you will still receive those funds.
- Exclusion from MemoryBooks
- Opt out of MemoryBooks (If this toggle is on, we will remove your anniversary from MemoryBooks. Your Service Awards will still operate outside this feature.)
- Receive only private recognitions
- Accessibility
-
This tab holds accessibility settings that help ensure that individuals with disabilities or impairments can access and use their recognition platforms effectively. Here are the current accessibility settings we have available:
- High Contrast - Toggle this setting "On" to change the color scheme of the site to make it easier to read for those with visual impairments.

Delegates
- In the Delegates tab, you're able to give permission to a user to impersonate your account, and impersonate any accounts of which you're a delegate. Delegates have access to recognize, approve, redeem, and anything else in your account as if they were another user. Type in the names of the users you'd like to assign as delegates using the search bar. Click the X next to the user's name to remove them as a delegate. Select Impersonate to the right of any user's name that has designated you as a delegate to start viewing their account. Note: Before you can access the Delegates tab in your account settings, a platform administrator must first enable the Delegates feature.

Profile Settings Quick Links
Here you'll find handy links to other important areas, including your Order History, Notification Preferences, and My Circle page. These are designed to help you easily navigate to familiar settings.
Orders
Clicking on the Orders tab will bring you to a list of all your orders in chronological order. Here you can view the status of each order, the order details, activation links for eGift cards and Virtual Prepaid cards, and tracking information.
Notifications
Manage the notifications you receive via various methods: In-Platform, Email, or Integrations (Microsoft Teams or Slack). Configure your notification settings to stay informed in a way that works best for you. The preferences you set here will override the default company settings, allowing you to receive updates that match your needs. Reference this article for more information.
My Circle
My Circle is a feature that allows you to craft your circle with teammates, colleagues, and others who make a difference in your life—and easily see who you’ve recognized, how long it’s been since you last connected, and how you’ve been impacting their work life for the better. Use this tab to update users in your circle.
Sharing Your Recognition QR Code
If your organization utilizes the External Recognition program feature (a program that allows people outside of your organizations to submit recognitions about you and your co-workers), you’ll see a QR Code button in the upper right-hand corner of your profile. Clicking it will allow you to view and download your personal QR code. Additionally, you can copy the QR code’s dedicated link to share with clients, partners, or any other person outside of our organization to recognize you.
