Your User Profile is your central spot to personalize your presence in Awardco, learn about your peers, and stay connected across the company. Here, you can manage your personal information, explore your recognition history, discover your network, and customize your account settings. By taking a few moments to explore and update your profile, you'll gain valuable insights into your colleagues and unlock the full potential of future engagement features. This article will guide you through accessing and navigating your User Profile.
Accessing Your User Profile
On your recognition platform’s homepage, click the user widget with your profile picture to access your user profile.
Alternatively, you can click on your profile picture in the top right corner of the page. This will open a menu, and you can select ‘My Profile’ from the options.
The “About” Tab
This is where you can see and manage key information about yourself and get to know your colleagues better. You'll find the following sections here:
Recognition Visibility
This widget displays your current preference for how you receive recognition within the platform and has a new look with an additional setting. You can now choose from the following options:
- No Preference: Selecting this means your recognition preference won't be explicitly displayed in the recognition flow.
- Public: (Confirmation needed: Please check with the Rec Dynamics team to confirm if selecting 'Public' will display this preference in the recognition flow.)
- Preferred Private: This option indicates your preference for private recognition but doesn't prevent others from sending public recognitions. This preference will be visible in the recognition flow.
- Forced Private: This is the existing setting where all recognitions you receive will be delivered privately and will not be visible in the public recognition feed.
If you are viewing your own profile, you'll see a link to the Settings tab where you can update this preference.
Personal, Employment, and Contact Information
This widget displays your basic information, such as your name, email, and phone number. Depending on your company's settings, you might be able to edit some of this information. You'll also see privacy indicators (like 'Public' or 'Private') next to each field, showing who can view that specific piece of information. These settings are initially determined by your company's Awardco administrators, but you may have the option to adjust the visibility of certain fields.
Important Note on Date Privacy: Making your service date or birthday private in this section only controls the visibility of the date on your profile. It does not automatically make the recognition generated by those milestone programs private. To control the visibility of all recognition you receive, use the Recognition Preference setting in the Settings tab.
About Me Widgets
This section is like a digital introduction! Your company's administrators can set up various fields or questions for you to answer. The information you provide here is visible to your peers, helping everyone learn more about each other's interests and backgrounds. You can manage your responses in the self-view of your profile, and all answered fields will be displayed publicly.
The “Recognitions” Tab
This tab is all about celebrating achievements and seeing your recognition journey:
MemoryBook Shelf
If MemoryBooks are available at your organization, and you've received a Memorybook (digital collections of well wishes), they'll be showcased here. When viewing your own profile, you'll see all the Memorybooks you've received. However, if a Memorybook was delivered privately, your peers won't be able to see it on their view of your profile.
Recognition Feed
This feed is specifically filtered to show recognitions that you have either sent to others or received yourself. Just like the main recognition feed, any recognitions delivered privately will not be visible to your peers on your profile. You can still interact with recognitions here by adding reactions or comments.
If enabled, you can download your recognitions (given and/or received) in a csv file.
Achievement Badges
If your organization gives achievement badges, the Achievement Badges widget shows badges that you have earned through recognition and/or earn programs.
The “Connections” Tab
Stay connected with your colleagues and understand your place within the company:
Milestones
This widget shows the upcoming milestones (service anniversary, birthday etc.) of the people within your team (your manager, peers, and direct reports) and those in your My Circle (if available in your organization's platform.) You can interact with this widget to recognize or sign Memorybooks of the people shown. This widget is private, so your peers won't see it when viewing your profile.
Org Connections
This widget visually represents your position within the company structure. You'll see the profile pictures and names of your manager, your peers (those who share the same manager), and any direct reports you may have. This information is always public, helping everyone understand team structures. You can even hover over the names to see their profile popover!
My Circle
If My Circle is utilized in your organization, this widget will display and give you a quick view of the people you've added to your My Circle. The individuals are ordered based on the longest time since you last recognized them. This widget is private to you. Like the Org Connections widget, you can hover over names to see their profile popover.
The “Settings” Tab
This tab is your personal control center for your account and preferences. This entire tab is only visible when you are viewing your own profile.
Quick Links
Here you'll find handy links to other important areas, including your Order History, Notification Preferences, and My Circle page. These are designed to help you easily navigate to familiar settings.
Account Information
This section allows you to manage your login details. Depending on your company's policies, you might be able to update your username and/or password here.
Profile Preferences
Customize your platform experience here! You can set your preferred language (if this feature is enabled by your company), your recognition preference (public or private), choose to exclude yourself from birthday celebrations or MemoryBooks, and set your accessibility preference for high contrast display.
A note on recognition visibility: The only settings that affect whether recognition is received privately or publicly are your recognition preference (e.g., 'Forced Private') and the option to exclude yourself from birthday celebrations. Making your service date or birthday private in the Personal, Employment, and Contact Information section only hides the date from peers; it does not override the public setting of the recognition program itself.
Delegates
If your company uses the delegates feature, you can manage your delegate settings in this widget, allowing others to act on your behalf within the platform.
Agreement Policies
This widget provides a consolidated view of all the company policies you have agreed to, such as the cookie policy, terms and conditions, privacy policy, and any region-specific terms. You can expand each section to review the details.
Previewing Your Public Profile
To get a view of your public profile and ensure that the information you’d like private is indeed private, click “Preview Profile” in the upper right-hand corner of your profile.
When clicked, you enter the preview and get a glimpse of what others see. Click “Exit Preview” when finished.
Sharing Your Recognition QR Code
If your organization utilizes the External Recognition program feature (a program that allows people outside of your organizations to submit recognitions about you and your co-workers), you’ll see a QR Code button in the upper right-hand corner of your profile. Clicking it will allow you to view and download your personal QR code. Additionally, you can copy the QR code’s dedicated link to share with clients, partners, or any other person outside of our organization to recognize you.
Flairs
Profile flairs are small visual badges that appear on your profile picture to highlight special moments and recent activity.
You may see:
New hire, work anniversary, or birthday flairs on the day of that event
An active recognizer flair after you send recognition
Celebration flairs (new hire, anniversary, birthday) are only visible on the date of the event. The active recognizer flair appears when you’ve recently sent recognition and stays visible for 7 days after you send a recognition.
Flairs show anywhere your profile avatar is used in Awardco (for example, in recognition feeds or where your profile can be previewed) and are added automatically when you qualify.
If you don’t see a flair you’re expecting (for example, a birthday or anniversary flair), check that your profile settings allow that date to be shown publicly.
Viewing Peer Profiles
Want to learn more about your colleagues? It's easy to view their public profiles! You can do this in a few ways:
Hover over their name in the recognition feed: A Profile Popover will appear, giving you a quick glimpse of their information and a ‘View Profile’ link.
Find their name in the Connections Milestone widget: On the Connections tab of your own profile, you can hover over names in this widget to see their popover and a link to their full profile.
See them in the My Circle widget: Similarly, on your Connections tab, names in your My Circle widget will also have the profile popover option.
Through the platform's search: The navigation also includes a search function where you can find users by name and then access their profile.
