This article will guide you through the basic steps of creating a non-monetary peer-to-peer recognition program. The structure of this program will empower all users within your organization to acknowledge each other's contributions without the assignment of points. While the Recognition Program builder offers numerous configurations, this article will cover the essential settings needed to establish a peer-to-peer program. Navigate to Recognition Program Settings
- Select the “Admin” button at the bottom of the left navigation menu.
- From the left navigation, click “Recognition,” then “Programs,” then “Recognition Programs” menu to bring you directly to Recognition Program Settings.
- Select “Create Program.”
- Enter the program name and click “Create Program.”
General
On this page, edit the following settings:
- Program Name: Enter a descriptive name for your program.
- Program Description: Add a brief description that clearly communicates the program's purpose to users.
- Program Tile Image: Select an image that will be displayed when a user navigates to the program selection page.
- Program Category: Categorize your program for better organization.
- Program Notification Email Template: Choose the email template that will notify users when they receive recognition. Use the Email Template Easy Editor to create these.
Click Save Changes.
Points
Leave these settings untouched as this program does not involve points.
Approvals
Generally, peer-to-peer programs do not require approvals. Leave these settings unchanged. Read this article to explore more about approvals.
Eligibility
Toggle both Giver and Recipient eligibility to Everyone. If you wish to restrict nominators and recipients to specific groups within your organization, toggle Limit Givers and/or Limit Recipients, and select the relevant users or metadata values.
Click Save Changes once finished.
Limits
Typically, peer-to-peer programs do not have configured program limits. Leave these settings untouched.Reference the Recognition Program Settings support article for more information about setting giving and receiving limits in a program.
Display
On this page, edit the following settings:
- Allow public posting to feed: Check this option to allow the submitter to make their recognition public or private on the feed.
- Banner Image: Toggle this on if you want a banner image to appear on each recognition in the social feed. For optimal results, use images that are 1200 x 300 pixels without text.
- Tags: To make company values available for selection when users access the program, click Optional under the Tags section and select all relevant tags. This article details how to create core value hashtags if none are currently set up.
Click Save Changes once finished.
Questions
The default question is a free-form field that allows users to enter custom text. Click the three vertical dots to the right of the question to modify the question text. Enter your desired question text in the Question field and click Save Changes.
Scheduling/Publishing the Program
To make the program "active" or "live," select either Publish Now or Schedule, located at the top of the program settings page. Publish Now will activate the program immediately upon selection. Schedule allows you to set a specific date and time in the future for program activation.
Front-End View
Test the front-end view of your recognition program by selecting Return at the top right of the screen. Click the Recognize button on the homepage and enter the name(s) of the individuals you would like to recognize. Select your newly created program and click Next.
Enter a test recognition and click Recognize.
View the recognition on the public social feed.
