Recognize a Large Group

There may be occasions when you’d like to recognize a large group of people in a recognition program. If enabled in the recognition program settings by your Awardco admin, you can recognize groups by uploading a CSV file of user IDs or emails, or by using group metadata such as My Circle. This article will walk you through both scenarios.


Note: Screenshots in this article may display options not available to you, as each organization configures this ability differently.
 

  1. After logging in, click the "Recognize" button at the top of the screen or the "Recognize" link in the side menu.
    • Important: If you begin recognizing using the "Who do you want to recognize" widget directly, you will bypass the option to recognize a group.
  2. On the next screen, under "Who do you want to recognize?", select the "Recognize a Large Group" option.
  3. You will now see the available options for recognizing a large group:
    •  Metadata-Based Recognition:
      • Any metadata configured on user profiles (e.g., Department, City, etc.).
    • My Circle:
      • Anyone within your My Circle.
    • Managerial Recognition:
      • Your direct reports (if you are a manager).
      • Your peers with the same manager.
    • CSV Upload:
      • Prepare a CSV file with a single column of user IDs or emails, without headers.
      • The maximum number of users allowed in a CSV upload is 2,000.
      • If the upload is successful, you will be taken to a screen displaying eligible programs. Follow the prompts to complete the recognition forms.
    • Comma-Separated List:
      • You can also paste a comma-separated list of emails or employee IDs directly into the search bar instead of uploading a CSV file.
  4. Manage your recipient list. Click “Next”.
    • You can add multiple groups to the recognition, not just a single group.
    • Use Ctrl + Z to undo any groups added.
    • After adding recipients, you can add or remove individual users as needed before proceeding with the recognition process.
    • Note: A maximum of 2,000 people can be added to a single recognition. If your selected group metadata includes more than 2,000 people, you will receive an error message.
  5. Now, select the program in which you’d like to recognize,  if multiple programs are available to you. Follow the prompts to complete the recognition form.
