Awardco Giving is a flexible, secure solution that makes it easy for employees to donate to causes they care about directly from your organization's rewards platform. By integrating charitable giving into your company's reward system, you can promote social responsibility and create a workplace culture that supports employee values and goodwill. How To Enable Awardco Giving
To activate Awardco Giving for your organization, follow these steps:
- Sign in to your organization’s Awardco portal.
- On the homepage, select the Admin button at the bottom of the left navigation menu.
- Select “Marketplace,” then “Award Networks” from the left navigation menu.
- Go to the Award Options tab and click “Add Option.”
- Locate Awardco Giving.
- Toggle the switch to enable Awardco Giving.
- Determine which charities will be visible for donations (refer to the "Managing Enabled Charities" section).
- Return to the Award Networks main page and select the specific Award Network where you want Awardco Giving to be available.
- Scroll down to Awardco Giving and toggle it on.
- Select the countries where this option will be available for redemption.
- Click “Save.”
- Confirm that the option is visible to employees by checking the Spend Points section and verifying that Awardco Giving is listed as a category.
Awardco Giving Settings
To manage the Awardco Giving settings:
- Sign in to your organization’s Awardco portal.
- On the homepage, select the Admin button at the bottom of the left navigation menu.
- Select “Marketplace,” then “Award Networks” from the left navigation menu.
- Go to the Award Options tab and select “Awardco Giving.”
- Click the “Option Settings” tab.
From this section, you can customize various settings related to charitable donations.
Adding Charities
You have the ability to select which charities employees can view and donate to:
- Navigate to the Manage Charities section within the Awardco Giving settings.
- Use the search bar to filter by charity name, category, or cause. Click on a charity's name to view more detailed information.
- Click Add next to the charity you want to make available on the platform.
Managing Enabled Charities
Once you've added charities, you can further manage them. Here's how you can do that:
- To see the charities you've already enabled, toggle the Enabled Charities switch in the Manage Charities tab.
- To remove a charity from the list, click the Remove link next to its name.
- To automatically email donation receipts to employees after they donate, toggle the Donation Receipts option on. Note that disabling this setting will classify all donations as non-tax deductible, and donating employees won't receive receipts.
Specifying a Fund/Charity Within an Larger Foundation
Some organizations partner with a larger foundation that manages specific funds. To ensure donations are allocated correctly to a particular fund, you can use the Donation Routing Instructions feature.
Here's an example: If your company works with the Emergency Assistance Foundation (EAF) and needs donations to go to a specific fund like "The Together Fund," you can add this instruction.
To add routing instructions:
- Click the three dots next to the charity's name.
- Select Donation Routing Instructions.
- Enter the specific fund name. This instruction will be included on the receipt employees receive after donating to that charity, ensuring the donation is routed correctly.
Country Availability
If your organization has a global workforce, refer to the Country Availability tab to see where Awardco Giving is currently supported. Awardco is continually expanding its country coverage, so please check back regularly if a desired country is not yet listed.
Option Settings
Within the Option Settings tab, you can configure the following:
- Display Name: The name that will appear on the Spend Points landing page.
- Description: A brief message that users will see when they select the Awardco Giving option.
- Specific Keyword Exclusions: Add words to filter out certain items from search results. Both partial and exact matches are supported (use double quotes for exact matches, e.g., "specific phrase").
- Catalog Banner Image: Upload a custom image (1055x480 px) or select a provided banner to display in the charity redemption area.
Remember to click “Save Changes” after updating any settings.
Making Awardco Giving Available in an Award Network
Once you've enabled Awardco Giving for your organization, you need to make it available within the specific Award Networks where your employees will be using their points. This is a crucial step to ensure the option is visible for redemption.
Here’s a step-by-step guide to get it set up:
- Sign in to your organization's Awardco portal.
- On the homepage, select the Admin button at the bottom of the left navigation menu.
- Select "Marketplace," then "Award Networks" from the left navigation menu.
- Click the specific Award Network where you want to make Awardco Giving available.
- On the Basic Settings & Options tab, scroll down to the list of available redemption options.
- Locate Awardco Giving and toggle the switch to turn it on.
- Select the countries where you want this option to be available.
- Click "Save."
- Confirm that the option is visible for redemption by navigating to the Spend Points section and verifying that "Awardco Giving" is listed as a category.
