Your organization's recognition platform features a vibrant social feed, offering a real-time glimpse into your teammates' achievements, milestones, acts of goodwill, and so much more! Dive into the details below to learn how to navigate this dynamic space.
Note: Keep in mind that each organization might customize its feed slightly, so you might see some features described here that aren't available on your specific feed.
Accessing the Feed
On the homepage, select “Recognition” then “Feed” from the left navigation menu. Depending on your homepage layout, you might also find a feed widget at the bottom of the screen offering a quick view.
Feed Features
The social feed displays all recognitions shared within your organization, department, and/or team, presented in chronological order.
On each recognition tile, you have the power to react and leave comments, fostering connection and celebration. Want to tag a colleague? Just type "@" followed by their name, and they'll receive an instant email notification.
It's important to know that point values attached to recognitions are always kept private. While the recognitions themselves are visible for everyone to see and appreciate, the specific point values associated with them are never displayed publicly. This thoughtful approach ensures that recognition remains transparent while personal point information stays confidential. Employees can feel confident that their points aren't shared, encouraging even greater participation in the recognition process.
Keep an eye on the right side of the page for a handy summary of the recognitions you've both received and given. If your organization celebrates service anniversaries, birthdays, and welcomes new hires through the platform, you'll also see your teammates' upcoming milestones here, allowing you to easily recognize them or sign their MemoryBook directly from the feed page.
Feed Filters
The left side of the page is your command center for tailoring the feed to your interests. You can filter by various criteria, including recognitions you've given and received, specific dates, relevant tags, and even departments. Just use the "Filter By" dropdown to get started. Feel free to select multiple options within a single field and even combine filters across different fields to narrow your view. Need to start fresh? Simply hit Reset next to the applied filters to clear your selections.
Want to save a particular filtered view for easy access later? Click Save new view below the dropdown menu. Any new saved views will appear conveniently below the default "All," "Given," and "Received" views. To rename a saved view, set it as your default, or delete it, just click the "..." next to the view's name.
Managing Recognition Privacy
Private recognitions will always be clearly marked as such in the feed. Whether you're the giver who accidentally chose the wrong visibility setting, the recipient who prefers a recognition to be less public, or an admin wanting to hide something from the feed, you now have the power to set a recognition to private.
The following users have the ability to make a recognition private:
Recognition givers
Recognition recipients
Admins or users with feed management permissions
This privacy feature also extends to group recognitions. If anyone involved in a group recognition decides to make it private, the group recognition will be converted into individual private recognitions for each recipient. Please note that any previous comments associated with the group recognition will be removed during this process.
Important: Once a recognition has been set to private, it cannot be made public again.
