Setting Up Your A-Pay Cardholder Account
For eligible US users creating an A-Pay card for the first time, you will first need to set up your cardholder account. This process ensures your account is properly configured for point redemption. Follow the steps below:
- Log into your Awardco account.
- Initiate the card request:
- Click "Request A-Pay Card" in the A-Pay homepage widget, OR
- Click your user profile icon in the top right-hand corner and select "Manage Card".
- Choose your card type: Select whether you want to receive a digital card only, or order a physical card (a one-time cost of 5 points will be deducted from your balance for a physical card).
- Provide required information:
- Address: This will be used as both your billing and shipping address if you choose to order a physical card.
- Phone number
- Date of Birth: This is provided to our card vendor, Stripe, to prevent your account from being temporarily disabled if your name matches a name on a prohibited persons list.
- Review and accept terms: Accept the Cardholder Terms and Conditions and the Awardco usage restrictions. You can review the Cardholder Terms and Conditions here.
- Click "Add to Cart" to finalize your cardholder account setup.
Once your cardholder account is created, you can update this information at any time through the "Manage Card" page.

- Can digital versions of the card be used at a physical location?
- Digital Cards can be added to a payment wallet such as Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. They can be used at a Tap to Pay POS. If a vendor allows, you can read off a card number from the platform to have them manually enter it, but this is not recommended.

- What’s the delivery timeframe on physical cards?
- Cards are printed on demand and mailed out to users based on the address they used in the Cardholder Information page. The general turnaround time is 14 business days depending on the speed of the post office. All cards are shipped via regular mail.
- Does A-Pay Support Apple Pay, PayPal, or Venmo?
- Cash equivalent tools like Venmo are not supported and will decline when attempted.
- Why are A-Pay transactions rounded up to the nearest point?
- Awardco exclusively operates with whole point values, meaning transactions are always rounded up to the next highest point when using A-Pay.
- Why hasn’t my A-Pay refund appeared in my wallet yet?
- Unlike standard credit card returns, A-Pay refunds involve around a 15 day reconciliation period to ensure the merchant has fully finalized the transaction. Refunds are generally processed for orders that are at least 30 days old. Once this period has passed and the reconciliation is confirmed, your points will be automatically updated in your wallet.
