The social feed on your organization’s recognition platform gives you a view into all your teammate’s accomplishments, milestones, good deeds, and more! Reference the article below for more information on how to navigate the feed.
Note: Each organization configures their feed a little differently. This article will possibly display aspects that aren’t available on your feed.
Accessing the Feed
View the social feed by selecting the Feed tab at the top of the homepage. Depending on your homepage’s layout, you may also be able to view the feed through a homepage widget at the bottom of the screen.
Feed Features
The social feed presents all recognitions given in your organization, department, and/or team in chronological order.
On each recognition tile, you can leave reactions and comments. Mention your colleagues by typing "@" followed by their name. The person mentioned will receive an email notification.
Points earned through recognitions are always private. While recognitions themselves can be seen publicly in the feed, the actual point values associated with those recognitions are never displayed to other employees. This ensures that recognition remains visible while point information stays confidential. Employees can feel secure that their points are not shared publicly, encouraging more participation in the recognition process.
The right side of the page provides a small breakdown of the number of recognitions you’ve received and given. If your organization recognizes for service anniversaries, birthdays, and/or onboarding new hires, you’ll be able to see your teammates’ upcoming milestones and recognize them/sign their MemoryBook right in the feed page.
Feed Filters
The left side of the page allows you to filter your feed by different values such as recognitions you’ve given and received, date, tags, and department. Use the “Filter By” drop-down to begin. Multiple choices can be selected in a field and multiple fields can be selected at a time. Hit Reset next to the applied filters to clear the selections. Save this view by clicking Save new view below the drop-down menu. Any new saved views will appear below the “All”, “Given”, and “Received” default saved views. Click the “...” next to each saved view to rename the view, set that view as the default view, or delete the view.
Managing Recognition Privacy
Private recognitions on the feed will always be indicated as such. Whether you're a giver that selected the wrong visibility, a recipient that doesn't want something to be publicly displayed, or an admin that wants something hidden on the Feed, you can now set the recognition to be private.
The following users can set a recognition to private:
- Recognition givers
- Recognition recipients
- Admins or users with feed management permissions
This feature also works with group recognitions. If anyone decides to make a group recognition private, it will convert the group recognition into individual recognitions that are private. Note that any previous comments will be removed in this process.
Important: Once a recognition has been made private, you are not able to make it public again.
