FAQ
-
Q: How many pages come in a book?
- A: The total page count depends on the number of teammate comments (recognitions) and the number of static "filler" pages you include.
- We encourage you to include static company content (like a message from leadership or company values) to ensure the book has substance, even if there are few teammate comments.
- We recommend aiming for a total of at least 20 pages (including the front cover) for the best experience.
- A: The total page count depends on the number of teammate comments (recognitions) and the number of static "filler" pages you include.
-
Q: What if no one comments on a MemoryBook? Will it still be generated?
- A: Yes, a book would still be generated. This is why we strongly recommend having static company content, such as a message from Leadership, included in the template pages.
-
Q: Are there any Minimum Order Quantities (MOQs)?
- A: No, a client may order as few as one book at a time.
-
Q: What if my book arrives damaged or has a printing error?
- A: If your book arrives damaged or contains a manufacturing defect, please contact us immediately with a photo of the issue. We will happily arrange for a reprint at no cost to you.
-
Q: Why do the colors on my printed book look slightly different than on my screen?
- A: Colors on a computer screen are backlit, which can make them appear brighter than printed colors. We can provide a printed sample at no additional cost if you'd like to verify color accuracy beforehand.
Content Best Practices
-
Image Quality is Critical
- Always use high-resolution images for your MemoryBooks. Low-resolution photos may appear blurry or pixelated when printed. It is recommended to use images with a minimum of 300 DPI (Dots Per Inch) at their actual printed size (8.5×8.5 inches). Furthermore, it is advised to use the .jpeg file format instead of .png.
-
Proofread All Text
- The customer is entirely responsible for proofreading all text, including messages and text on images. The printing system will print exactly what is submitted, so it is crucial to check all spelling and grammar before approval.
-
Set Expectations for Color Accuracy
- Explain to users that colors on a screen (which is backlit) may appear slightly different from the printed colors. If you are concerned about color matching, you can request a printed sample at no additional cost.
-
Ensure Sufficient Content
- To create a book with substance, especially in cases where few teammate comments are submitted, you should utilize static company content. This can include messages from organizational Leadership, company values, or organization history. It is recommended to have at least 20 pages of content (including the front cover) for the best experience. The Corporate Gifting team can help design about 16 static pages of content at no additional cost if needed.
