This article will walk you through the basic steps of how to build a monetary Earn program. The structure of this program will allow all users in your organization to claim points, and give you, as an admin, the ability to approve submitted Earn requests. Reference the links in each step for more in-depth information about each referenced setting or feature. The video below will also walk you through the process step-by-step.

Navigate to Earn Program Settings
Start by navigating to the Admin portal by selecting the Admin button at the top right section of the homepage. Click on the Settings tab and then select Earn Program Settings. Click Add Program at the top right of the screen.
General Settings
Enter the Program Name, select a start date and an end date, if applicable. Click Create Program. Select an image that will display when a user is brought to the Earn program selection page. Add a short description that communicates to users the program’s purpose. Click Next.
Rules
Toggle the Reward Giver option to Specific User and type in the name of the user the award will come from.
Toggle Limits on the Claim Limits option. Select All Users on the Recipient drop-down menu, type “1” in the free-form field next to “Times per 1 Month”. Select Add Rule. Adding this rule limited all users to only claim an award from this Earn program one time per month.
Select the budget points will be awarded from in the Central Budget drop-down menu.
Toggle the Approval toggle On. Click Add Rule, select Specific User(s), and enter your name. Click Save. Any Earn requests will now be sent to your queue for approval. Click Next.
Display
Select Points under the “Display Amounts As Points” option. Enter a preset amount in the “Preset [currency] Amounts” free-form field, and toggle the “Show Amount Selection to Recipients” option On.
Enter a Reward Note that will appear on the user’s received recognitions and a Comment Prompt that will display on the Earn request form.
To make company values available for selection when users access the program, click Optional under the Tags section, and select all applicable tags. This article details how to create core value hashtags if none have been set up. Click Next and Next again to be brought to the Notifications settings tab.
Notifications
Attach email templates to the Needs Approval and Recognition notifications using the drop-down menu. View current templates uploaded to your platform using the View Templates button. Select Finish.
Front-End View
Test the front-end view of your Earn program by selecting Return at the top right of the screen. Click on the Earn Rewards tab at the top of the homepage, and select your created Earn program, if there are multiple. Enter a test comment in the free-form field, select a tag, and click Submit.
Click the Go to Approvals button and click on the My Approvals tab to view the Earn request pending approval.
