Custom Feed Settings
In the Awardco platform, you can configure Custom Feed settings to filter recognitions and display additional user metadata via ScreenCloud.
Navigation Options:
- Select the “Admin” button at the bottom of the left navigation menu.
- Click “Platform”, “Integrations,” then “Integrations Library” from the left navigation menu.
- Click on “Screencloud”.
- Click on the “Settings” tab.

Configuration Options:
- Filter Field:
- Choose a metadata field that ScreenCloud can use to filter recognitions for individual TVs or screens. For example, a company with multiple offices can configure the filter field to show recognitions for only those in a specific office.
- Note: When the filter field is updated, ScreenCloud settings must also be updated with new “filter values” for each instance.
- Sublabel 1 and 2:
- Select metadata fields to display additional information about the person receiving the recognition. For instance, you could select "Department" and "Job Title" as sublabels, which would display values like "Sales" and "Account Executive" for recognized employees.
- Send Error Emails:
- Enable notifications for errors encountered by the Custom Feed due to invalid settings. While it's recommended to keep this enabled, you can temporarily disable error emails if known issues are being resolved.
- Note: These settings depend on the metadata columns included in the user file. If a selected metadata field is modified or removed, you must update the Custom Feed settings accordingly.

- Q: Which recognitions are displayed on screen?
- A: Each app instance will fetch and display up to the last 200 public recognitions, with the ability to customize this setting coming soon. It's also important to note that the number of recognitions shown will depend on how long the app instance is actually displayed on screen (for example, if the Awardco app is only set to display for 2 minutes, with 10 secs per recognition, that means there will be a max of 12 posts displayed).
- Q: How often does the app refresh?
- A: The app pulls in new posts every 6 minutes. However, you can push an instant refresh by recreating the app with the same API key.
- Q: How long is recognition displayed before transitioning to the next one?
- A: Each recognition will remain on screen for 10 seconds, with the ability to adjust this coming soon.
- Q: Are images displayed with the recognitions?
- A: Yes, images (including GIF's) are displayed with the recognitions, if applicable. Support for videos is coming soon.
- Q: What customizations can be made to the way recognitions are displayed?
- A: Clients have the following customization options (with additional options coming soon):
- Awardco Logo—can be toggled ON/OFF
- QR Code (provides a link directly to the recognition on their Awardco platform)—can be toggled ON/OFF

- Q: When I select more than one person in my Awardco recognition post, why does only one person's profile show?
- A: Currently, only the first person selected can be seen. However, we are working on improving this, and posts will soon be able to display multiple profiles, if selected.
