This article will guide Awardco platform administrators through the process of configuring Single Sign-On (SSO) for their organization. You may also need to involve a member of your team who manages your security configurations for assistance.
Navigation
- Log in to your Awardco account.
- On the homepage, select the Admin button at the bottom of the left navigation menu.
- From the left navigation menu, click Platform, Security, and then Single Sign On.
- Set Standard Login to On if you want to allow users to sign in using both standard Awardco credentials and SSO.
- Set SSO with SAML to On.
- If you want specific users to log in exclusively via SSO, specify a metadata value using the dropdown menus. This setting pertains to users who should only authenticate through SSO. When a user matching this metadata filter attempts to log in, they will be automatically redirected to their SSO page, regardless of the login option they select.
- In the SSO URL field, paste the Single Sign-On URL. This is typically found under “SingleSignonService: location” in your Identity Provider (IdP) metadata.
- In the Entity ID field, paste the Entity ID. This is usually found under “EntityID” in your IdP metadata.
- In the Certificate field, paste the SAML signing certificate. This is typically found under “X509 Certificate” in your IdP metadata. Depending on your IdP's configuration, there might be multiple certificates in the file.
- Enter a Sign In Button Label, for example, your company name.
- Once you have saved your changes, click Download Metadata.
- After downloading your metadata file, you can use it to configure your IdP appropriately. This metadata provides your SSO IdP configuration details.
