Employees often have busy schedules and focus on achieving organizational goals. For those who don't regularly use the Awardco platform, it's easy to forget about accumulated points. The point balance reminder email helps address this, promoting platform adoption and utilization.
Feature Configuration
To set up the point balance reminder email
- Log into your Awardco account.
- On the homepage, select the Admin button at the bottom of the left navigation menu.
- In the left navigation menu, click “Platform,” "Notifications," then "Reminders."
- Configure the following settings under the “Point Balance Reminder” section:
- Frequency: Select the desired email frequency: monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, or annually. The system will send the reminder email as close to the same day of the selected period as possible, using a balanced distribution algorithm. For example, if an email is sent on the 1st of one month, the system will aim for the 1st of the following month. If the calculated day falls on a weekend or holiday, the email will be sent on the next non-holiday weekday.
- Template: Select the "Point Balance" email template you created and uploaded on the "Email Templates" sub-tab. This type is set using the Email Template Easy Editor.
- Select "Test" to receive a sample email of the chosen point balance reminder template. The test email will be sent to the currently logged-in user, displaying their point balance.
- Point Balance Threshold: Enter the minimum point balance required for the reminder email to be sent. For example, if the points-to-dollars ratio is 1:1, entering 30 points will trigger the email only for users with 30 or more points.
Important Note: The reminder emails are distributed throughout the month using an algorithm to prevent platform usage spikes. While the emails won't be sent on the exact same day each period, the system will aim for the closest possible date to the previous send, while avoiding weekends and holidays. This ensures consistent and effective reminders without causing inconvenience.
