This article is designed as a "Quick Start" guide to point you in the right direction if you are new to the platform. It is not a comprehensive manual for every admin capability. Think of this as your compass to help you navigate your first few days; as you become more comfortable, our Knowledge Base and support team will help you master the full scope of the platform.
Identify Your Admin Role
Your daily tasks will look different depending on which Awardco products your organization uses. Use the guide below to focus on the sections relevant to you:

Adoption Dashboard (Recognition Only)
After logging in, click the Admin button at the bottom of the left menu to access the Adoption dashboard. It shows key metrics like login rates, recognitions, and redemption trends. Note: Engage-only clients will see survey participation metrics here. See this article for details on filtering and interpreting the data.
Viewing Your Programs (Recognition Only)
The overview at the top of your dashboard provides a quick count of your organization's active programs. To explore these programs individually, simply follow the navigation paths outlined below for each program type. For detailed instructions on viewing and adjusting the settings for each program, click on the corresponding link:
- Recognition Programs: Admin > Recognition > Programs > Recognition Programs
- Automated Programs
- Onboarding: Admin > Recognition > Programs > Onboarding
- Service Awards: Admin > Recognition > Programs > Service Awards

Managing Surveys (Both Recognition and Engage)
If your primary goal is running employee engagement surveys, your central hub is the Engagement tab. Unlike recognition programs, these do not require points or budgets.
To manage your surveys:
- Select Engagement from the left navigation menu.
- Click Surveys.
In this section, you can build new surveys, manage active pulses, and view real-time feedback and sentiment scores. Keeping your surveys organized here ensures your data remains actionable and confidential.
Budget Management (Recognition Only)
Funding Your Account
This section applies only to organizations using points and monetary rewards.
- Funding Your Account: See the Funding Your Account article for setup and invoicing details.
- Adding Points: Under Admin > Finance > Budgets > Points Summary, use the Add Points button to fund your account. Always include a descriptive note for future reference.
- Managing Budgets : Allocate points from the Company account to specific budgets to fund or create spending pools.
Employee Data Transfer (Both Recognition and Engage)
Keeping employee data up-to-date is key to running Awardco effectively. Accurate info ensures awards reach the right people. We accept employee data in CSV format; details are in this article.
After formatting your file, upload it securely to Awardco. For details on accepted transfer methods, see this article. We recommend using Awardco SFTP for a smoother, automated process.
Reporting (Recognition Only)
Awardco's reporting tools help you analyze platform data, track employee engagement, monitor spending, and identify key recognized achievements. See our Platform Reports Overview article for details.
