What is the Team Recognition Summary Widget?
This homepage Team Recognition Summary widget displays a specific team’s recognition status, which is determined by four weighted factors:
Note: The Team Recognition Summary Widget only displays data for direct reports. If you are looking for data for all reports, refer to Role-Based Dashboards.
Frequency - how often teammates are recognizing (e.g., 0 recs=poor, 1=low, 2=good, 3=great, 4+=excellent)
Specificity - the length and uniqueness of each recognition (e.g., number of characters: <20=poor, <50=low, <120=good, <240=great, >240=excellent)
Variety - how often team members are recognizing people from various teams in your organization (e.g., 0 recs=poor, 1 rec=low, 2 recs within team/1 outside of team=good, 2 inside/2 outside=great, >2 inside/>2 outside=excellent)
Budget Use - taking into account users who have budget access, and if they are using those budgets each month (e.g., no points given=poor, any points given=excellent)
Additionally, the widget exhibits a line graph that displays a level of recognition over the span of the last six months. Summaries above the graph highlight the areas in which the team or set of users is performing the best, and provide suggestions on how to improve their engagement with recognition.
Furthermore, managers will receive a monthly email on the first of every month containing a summary of the previous month's recognition data.
How to Positively Influence Team Recognition Summary Widget Measurements
By using the Team Recognition Summary widget, managers can identify areas for improvement and ensure that their team members feel appreciated and valued. Here are some solutions admins or managers can suggest to increase recognition metrics:
Frequency - Encourage teammates to send at least one recognition per week.
Specificity - Urge direct reports to send well-thought out recognitions 4-5 sentences in length providing detailed explanations of why the person they are recognizing is deserving.
Variety - Promote recognizing outside of your direct team at least 2-3 times a month to help spread recognition throughout the entire organization.
Budget Use - If you or members in your team have budget access, ensure you’re awarding points multiple times a month.
