Setup and Configuration
Pre-requisite: This integration requires External Recognition to be enabled in Awardco.
1) Request the Integration
Initiate the process in one of two ways:
- Ask your Awardco representative directly.
- Clicking "Request More Information" on the Qualtrics listing in Awardco's Integrations Library.
Your Awardco representative (CSM/TCSM) will then oversee the setup process on the back-end.
2) Create “Started when an event is received” Workflow for Qualtrics Survey
In Qualtrics, create a “Started when an event is received” workflow for the survey for which you wish to award points for completion.
- Add Conditional Trigger (Optional): If you only want to reward high scores, add a condition between the Survey response and the Awardco extension (e.g., only send CSAT responses with a score of 4/5 or 5/5).
- Add the Awardco extension task to the end of the Workflow.
3) Awardco Extension Task Setup
- In the Awardco extension task setup modal:
- API Key: Paste your Awardco API key into the API Token field and give the account a name. Note: The API Key must have external recognition permissions.
Choose your newly created account in the Awardco extension task setup modal and click Next.
4) Create an External Recognition Program in Awardco
Create an External Recognition Program in Awardco to serve as the endpoint for the Qualtrics data. To do so:
- Select the Admin button at the bottom of the left navigation menu.
- Select "Programs", then "External Recognitions" from the left navigation menu.
- Select “New Program.”
- Configure settings in the following tabs:
- Once finished configuring, select “Publish.”

5) Map External Recognition Program and Survey Data in Qualtrics
In the Qualtrics task setup modal, select the external recognition program you created in Awardco.
- Map the necessary data fields:
- Map Employee Name to the survey question response that asks for the name of the Client Success Representative.
- Ensure the Qualtrics user associated with the survey has an email address that matches a user in the Awardco platform.
- Use the Note field to pipe over any other survey data you want to include, such as the full survey response text from a question like "why did you rate your CS Rep this way?"
Click Save.
Approving Awards for Survey Submissions
Once the setup is complete, submit a test CSAT survey response to verify the integration.
- Navigate to the Approvals area in the Awardco platform.
- The external recognition will appear in the queue with the information piped from Qualtrics.
- You can Approve or Decline the recognition, adjust the recipient(s) in the Send Recognition To area, edit the Recognition Text, and add a Custom Amount of points if needed (and select a budget).
- Approved recognitions will appear on the social Feed.
