Designating Owners for a budget is a way to enable users in the platform to have full control over the budget(s) assigned to them.
Designating the Owners and their Access
Owners can be assigned when the budget is created or the budget can be edited to designate an Owner. It is possible for multiple Owners to be assigned to a single budget. For instructions on creating and editing budgets, please see the Managing Budgets article.
The Owners designation allows the person designated to do the following:
- Create new budgets with the ability to assign that new budget to a cost center and to designate an Owner for the new budget
- Assign access for any budgets they have been made the Owner over
- Transfer funds from any budgets they have been made the Owner over
- Archive any budgets they have been made the Owner over
Please note, the Owner does not have the ability to assign new funds to the budgets they oversee. Only users with Admin permissions can access the company account and assign funds to the company budgets.
