As an admin of the Awardco platform, you have the ability to control which notification settings users are able to alter. This article will outline the three different notification options you may enable for your users in your company.
Notifications Settings
Show My Account Notifications
Toggling the Show My Account Notifications to "On" will allow users in your company to access the Notifications sub-tab when they access their account settings. Toggling this option to "Off" will make this sub-tab unavailable, therefore not allowing them to alter their personal notification settings.
- Locate the Notifications setting tab by logging into your Awardco account.
- Next, navigate to the platform admin section by clicking the "Admin" button under your name.
- Click into the "Settings" tab.
- Click the "Notifications" sub-tab.
Default Notifications
This setting establishes a standard notification preference for all users until they visit the notification preference page. The default notification is applied when the user accesses the notification preference page for the first time, which requires them to log in. If a user has not visited the notification preference page, the default notification setting will remain active. The default setting might be cached on the server side and resets every 24 hours. Available Notifications
If a user wishes to alter their notification settings, they are able to set their preference upon login. You, as an admin, can alter what notification options are available. By toggling "On", you make that option accessible; "Off" will eliminate the option from the user's view. The example below demonstrates an instance where an admin made the metadata notification setting unavailable.
Note: Metadata Default Notifications will not work unless you also select a Default Notification Field. This means that you assign everyone in the organization to have a certain metadata value as their default notification rather than having a user pick their own metadata value.
