Recognitions can be posted to different channels based on the recipient's metadata. To set this up:
-
Navigate to Channel Settings:
- Go to Admin > Integrations Library > Slack > Channel Settings.
-
Configure Default and Metadata-Specific Channels:
- The Default Channel is where recognitions will post if the recipient doesn't meet the channel rule requirements. You may leave this blank, meaning only recognitions matching recipient metadata will post to appropriate channels.
- Choose a metadata field and add a rule. Pick the channel for recognitions, noting that only public channels will show.
- Assign metadata values to channels. Metadata values can only be associated with one channel.
