If your organization’s Award Network includes exchanging points for cash as a redemption option, reference the article below to ensure cashing out is a smooth process for your users.
NOTE: There is no transaction fee for all cash out redemptions.
Accessing Cash Settings
To access Cash settings:
- Click on the Admin button on the homepage.
- Select the Settings tab.
- Select Award Networks.
- Click on the desired network where Cash is available.
- Scroll down to find the Cash section.
Select any country from the list on the right where you want Cash to be available as a redemption option. To customize how employees from each country will view the option to cash out their points, click on Advanced Settings.
Advanced Settings Configuration
Click Edit on the default option shown. Configure the following settings:
- Country - the country Cash is available in
- Label - how the cash out option will appear for selection on the Spend Points Landing page
- Description - text entry explaining to the user how cashing out will work for your organization
- Email Notification - email of internal contact that will be responsible for fulfilling cash out awards. This contact will be notified via email for every cash out redemption made. Leaving this field blank will still allow users to cash out, but no one will be notified at the time of redemption.
Select Save. If employees in additional countries in your organization have Cash available as a redemption option, click Add Setting on the Cash Advanced Settings page, and repeat the steps above for each country. If the cash redemption settings are the same for all countries, editing just the default setting will be sufficient.
Notifications
Upon redemption, the user will receive the following order confirmation via email.
If a notification recipient is listed in cash settings, they will receive this email notifying of the redemption.
Admins can view the Money Spent, Points Redeemed, Point Transactions, Awarded vs. Redeemed, Redemption Summary, and Redemption FIFO reports to view information on cash out redemptions. Reports will not allow admins to mark when internal action was completed. Our reports function as a way to mark transactions Awardco has completed, not your internal company's payroll.
Note: Configuring these settings simply provides a way for users to spend their points on a request and not a redemption. This feature solely sends communications to both the redeemer and specified internal contacts in charge of fulfilling the redemption. It is requisite upon your internal teams to send cashed out awards to users.
